Centro de Arte Hortensia Herrero (CAHH)
The Hortensia Herrero Art Centre opened its doors in November 2023 in the former Palacio Valeriola. The two four-storey buildings that make up the Centre house 17 exhibition spaces spread over 3500 m2.
ART i CLAR worked for 4 months on the transport and installation of the contemporary art collection that can currently be visited at the Centre, including the import of several works from third countries.
The Hortensia Herrero private Collection brings together works by 47 contemporary artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Anish Kapoor, Elena del Rivero, Mat Collishaw, among others. The variety of artists represented as well as the different typology of the works to be exhibited required the use of different installation and handling techniques adapted to the nature of each piece.
Some works were more challenging to install due to their size, fragility or their final location, such as the site-specific works by Olafur Eliasson or Tomás Sarraceno.
